About Me Hi, my name is Brandi! I am Leo, Aquarius Rising, Scorpio Moon. I live in Minnesota with my amazing husband, William, and beautiful daughter, Kylie. I am currently a wife, mother, Online Marketing Specialist for a major new age publishing company, part-time Community Education Teacher, and student leader/mentor for the Minneapolis Kabbalah Study Group.

Music I love lots of different kinds of music -- from The Beatles to U2, Mozart to Metallica. I'm really a lyrics girl so if the words are right it will be one of my favorites. I also love beautiful voices and classic crooners so I have a special place in my heart for Celine Dion, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Dean Martin. Right now I've been listening to Rob Thomas, John Mayer, Natasha Bedingfeld, Joss Stone, John Legend, Corinne Bailey Rae, Norah Jones, Jack Johnson, Jonny Lang, Maroon 5, Train, Coldplay.

Movies Very difficult to say because I am a real movie buff! I love everything from Sci Fi to action to drama to romantic comedies to animated films. I really enjoy movies that 1) make you think about them for days after you've seen them and 2) make you totally lose yourself in the story. I am also a sucker for great dialog. The ones that come to mind are the first three Star Wars movies (the original trilogy), The Matrix, Dune, Sleepless in Seattle, Dogma, Shawshank Redemption, The Usual Suspects, Pulp Fiction, Little Mermaid, Happy Feet, The 13th Warrior, Finding Nemo, Braveheart, When Harry Met Sally, Tombstone, Forrest Gump, and Crash.

TV I have a 3 year old so I really don't watch much TV. When I do get some time to watch "grown up tv" some of my favorites are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed, The Shield, Battlestar Galactica (new), Nip/Tuck, Robot Chicken, and Family Guy.

Books All of the Harry Potter books by J. K. Rowling, Swan Song by Richard McCammon, The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, Men Are From Mars Women Are From Venus by John Gray. I'm sure this list will keep growing and growing and growing because I read all the time...

Likes Being a mom! I love to travel. I love to write. I'm a huge fan of long walks. I could spend my entire life at the beach. I enjoy going to movies and reading a good book. I am a fabulous cook and love trying new recipes. I'm a total Internet geek -- been online since 1995! I like snorkeling, but skydiving is more exciting. I enjoy working out -- Tae Bo and Yoga are my favorites. I especially enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories.

Here Comes the Sun

I have the most amazing dreams. (My Moon is in Scorpio and located in the Eighth house of my Astrology chart.) It is a blessing and a gift that I am truly grateful to have received.

One of the most vivid, spectacular dreams I have ever had was one in which I saw myself standing on the edge of a cliff staring at the sun across a vast body of water I can only assume was the ocean.

In the dream, I looked back over my shoulder and said, "You have to be careful connecting to the Light of the Creator or you might hurt yourself."

I then returned to staring at the sun and the dream ended.

I have shared this dream with two of my spiritual teachers, but neither has told me what the dream meant.

I guess I'm not ready to receive the message and meaning of the dream yet.

It was beautiful, simple, and pure. I can still clearly see the imagery of the dream and remember the sublime feeling of complete peace and love I felt when I awoke that morning.

Lesson the First

Love someone for who they are today, not who you hope they will become tomorrow or the person you think they should be.

Lesson the Second

You must always be exactly who you are. No one will ever truly love you if you hide behind the mask you wear to please them.

You must be loved for your true self or not at all.

Lesson the Third

Love yourself exactly the way you are right now, not for who you hope to become tomorrow or who you think you should be or the things you hope to accomplish.

No one else will truly be able to love you if you do not love yourself.

Lesson the Fourth

No one relationship or thing in your life can completely fulfill all of your needs.

Our souls came here to experience life, to live and and explore all of the possibilities that life has to offer.

We must seek growth in all areas -- career, spirituality, family, friends, artistic/creative expression, parenting -- to feel fulfillment that is lasting and real.

We must be whole and complete in every possible way. Becoming complete is being a multifaceted jewel that sparkles when the Light shines on it from many different sources.
